Drop-In Sew Studio Fees

Ages: 14+ (must be able to work independently)

Must know how to use the sewing machine, thread the machine, fill a bobbin, and troubleshoot. If you do not have a Class 10 Size 15 Bobbin, you must purchase one for twenty-five cents. If you do not know how to use the sewing machine, please book a private lesson to learn or come to a group class. I do not teach during this time. If you need some second eyes or someone to help make a decision, I don’t mind, but during this time, I do not teach; that would be a private lesson or a finish your project day!

Serger private lessons and group classes are available to use the shop machines.

You will book your time and put a deposit on the serger if needed; this way, if you only use it for an hour, not the whole time you booked, you will pay the balance at the end of your session.

Drop-In Sew

Drop-In Sew is a way to get out of your house and dedicate time and energy sans all the interruptions that can occur, OR come get out and spend time with other people 😀

Open sew is designed for you to be able to come in and rent a machine to work on projects. In from out of town and need to repair but don’t have a sewing machine? Have kids running around and can’t make time to work on your projects? This is a perfect solution for you to get time! Use mine for $5 per hour.

You will book your time and put a deposit on the Serger if needed; this way, if you only use it for an hour, not the whole time you booked, you will pay the balance at the end of your session.

At this time, ALL persons in the studio are required to wear masks regardless of vaccination status. I do have disposable masks at the door.

**Since I am a small business, if you damage or break the machine, you will be responsible for fixing it or paying for a new machine.

Other Info

You will have access to cutting tables, irons, and ironing boards. Each station has a Brother CS6000i and a Brother 1034D Serger (additional fee to use). To use either machine, you must have taken the classes, or comparable skills learned in those classes.

The Serger is a separate fee as well as the Coverstitch machine.

You will be responsible for your supplies and notions, such as thread and specialty needles (my machines always have a size 12 sharps/microtex). You must also bring your sewing kit; if you do not get one, purchase one from the studio. The studio does carry a wide variety of notions, patterns, fabrics, and supplies.

If you are quilting, please bring your piecing foot, rotary cutter, and rulers. I do have self-healing mats available to use.

I have some patterns, notions, and fabric for sale at the studio, but they are limited; I am not a full fabric shop.

Refund and Return Policy

All Sales Are Final.

No Refunds or Returns.If there is damage during shipping, I will do my best to replace the item quickly.  Contact me within the first two days of receiving the product and email me with a picture of the damaged product (after opening the container), along with a photo of the shipping container before the product was opened.** I want you to enjoy what I make, but it is the BUYERS responsibility to notify me of any issues promptly. **

Class Policies

Class Cancellation Policy & Payments

• Full payment is due upon signing up.
• 100% of fees credited to another course if the student cancels 4 days before the scheduled date.

  • However, you will need to reschedule within 15 days and schedule for no more than 30 days from the original class.
  • The class fee is forfeit if not rescheduled within this timeframe.

•IF CANCELLATION LESS THAN 4 DAYS before the registered class date, there will be no credit.

  • No exceptions, this ensures that other students waiting for a seat are not missing learning opportunities due to late cancellations.

• No-shows give up any refund or exchange. **Classes canceled by the studio will receive class credit. We try to limit classes canceled however there may be times that a class will be canceled and if this happens, you will receive an email with a coupon code to reschedule your class at your convenience. If you would prefer that I put you in the next class scheduled automatically, please just let me know. 

Times:

All classes start on time. Please be prompt, if you can come up with 5 minutes early for set up. Please do not come more than 5 minutes early to the studio; I will open the doors 5 min prior. I sometimes have offsite classes, private lessons or appts before the class.  If you use freeways to get to us, be aware of the rush-hour traffic, please plan accordingly. If you are over ½ an hour late, you will need to schedule a private lesson at your cost. You might miss out on precious information.  Please make sure you give yourself time for traffic and travel. Returns/Refunds: No Refund or Transfer of funds, if upon cancellation is 4 days or less before the start of the class. If you are canceling before the 4 days cut off will result in a CLASS  credit.
